LEARN THE BROADWAY EXPERIENCE FROM BROADWAY PROFESSIONALS
SOUTHPORT STUDIO THEATRE
Acting and musical theatre classes from September - May
Southport Studio Theatre provides motivated students of varying ages an opportunity to work at a more advanced level, while in a supportive and fun-filled environment. The class size remains small so that we may devote more time to the individual student. Students first focus on the acting process, sensory exercises, and improvisation work. Monologue, scene and/or musical work begins later in the semester. Students are guided through the process of learning how to craft a song or monologue, and major emphasis is placed on building the self-confidence of young artists. The Class culminates with an opportunity for the student to showcase the material they have been working on.
